Scaling whiteboard¶

Introduction¶

Nextcloud Whiteboard is a collaborative drawing tool that allows you to draw and write together with others in real-time. It is a great tool for brainstorming, planning, and visualizing ideas.

A separate backend service is used to handle the real-time collaboration features of the whiteboard. This service is called the Nextcloud Whiteboard Backend.

The Nextcloud Whiteboard Backend is a Node.js application that uses the WebSocket protocol to communicate with the Nextcloud Whiteboard app. It is responsible for handling the real-time collaboration features of the whiteboard, such as drawing, erasing, and moving objects.
