How to prepare for upgrades¶

This article lists the steps to take to prepare for an upgrade, the database migrations, and expected downtime.

How to upgrade?¶

All the steps for upgrading are documented in our general admin documentation. Upgrades generally go fine if these steps are carefully followed.

We recommend to practice by doing an upgrade in a test environment. When it is successful, schedule the upgrade in production and apply all steps in production.
