  • Using Groupfolders - Advanced Permissions

Groupfolders Advanced Permissions are a powerful tool for managing access control lists for individual users and groups. This feature allows for fine-grained control over the permissions that are set for each shared group folder and the files and folders that it contains. As this can be overwhelming and difficult to configure at first, we have created this guide to show an example configuration of using advanced permissions for nested folders.

The goal of this exercise is to create a shared group folder called Projects. This folder, and all subfolders, should be readable to all members of Example Group. Alice will manage this group folder and handout associated permissions as necessary. It should contain several subfolders. One of which shall be named Project Three. As Charlie will work on Project Three, they will be granted write access to the folder of the same name.
