    Thinking about where and how to store session data is especially relevant if your setup includes more than one Nextcloud application server for the same hostname. This is often done to scale above a certain amount of users.

    In such a setup, the applications servers either must receive all requests for a given session always on the same server, or they must share the session storage so all servers can access all session data.

    If this is not configured correctly, users will experience errors such as failures to load some resources, sudden redirects to the login page, etc.
