Nextcloud Governance is a compliance management add-on for Nextcloud Enterprise, designed to meet the needs of organizations with advanced regulatory obligations. It extends Nextcloud's existing separate compliance capabilities like retention, audit logging and file access control with a unified platform covering data classification, lifecycle management, and compliance tracking. Unlike most other solutions, it runs entirely on-premises, protecting the sovereignty and control over data in the organization.

This article provides an overview of the product and its core components. Detailed configuration documentation will be published as the product moves toward general availability.
